Of all the photos I’ve ever taken of Belle, this has to be close to a favorite. First of all, she loves hamming it up for the camera — and told me she needed an agent and a lawyer to negotiate modeling fees.

Second, she is growing up, what with the applying of mascara (she hates her pale eyelashes). I’ve drawn the line (no pun intended) at a brow pencil, though.

Thirdly: when I saw this image, I thought of Betty Draper from Mad Men. I think it’s the tilt of the head and the eyes.

Then the outtake tickled me: Paris never likes to be left out and can get quite pouty when not involved in the shoot.
